Minimization of Crosstalk in High Speed PCB
نویسندگان
چکیده
Crosstalk is an important problem in high-speed printed circuit board design which is one of the signal integrity issues. A wildly used theoretical model based on microstrip theory is presented in this paper. On this basis, the origin and the factors affecting crosstalk are introduced. Cadence Allegro is used to analyze these factors. Key-words: Signal integrity, crosstalk, aggressor line, victim line, micro strip, Cadence Allegro.

Signal Integrity Analysis of High Speed Interconnects In PCB Embedded with EBG Structures
This paper brings out a novel method for reducing Near end and Far end Crosstalk using Electromagnetic Band Gap structures (EBG) in High Speed RF transmission lines. This work becomes useful in high speed closely spaced Printed Circuit Board (PCB) traces connected to multi core processors. By using this method, reduction of -40dB in Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) and -60 dB in Far End Crosstalk (FEX...
متن کاملEvaluation of Emission from a PCB by Using Crosstalk between a Low Frequency Signal Trace and a Digital Signal Trace
In this paper, the evaluation of emission from a PCB by using crosstalk between a low frequency signal trace and a digital signal trace is investigated. These signal traces are closely routed in parallel to each other on the different several signal planes in the PCB. It is shown experimentally that the coupled signal trace with a cable section causes drastic increase of emission from the PCB. ...
متن کاملA Novel Broadband Via Structure for Crosstalk Reduction in Dual Layered PCB for High Speed Data Transmission
In today’s era, two factors which are essential for an efficient Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design are high data transfer rate and structure miniaturization. This increase in information transfer rate is limited by the Bandwidth of the communication channel. Miniaturization can be achieved in PCBs by multiple layering. Vias are used as interconnects between the various layers within a multilay...

This paper describes the cross-talk analysis of high-speed PCB design. Some models using multiple PCB traces above a ground plane having guard traces and vias are taken and the results are obtained from modeling and simulation using Ansoft HFSS software tool and are compared with the experimental results. Reduction techniques of crosstalk are highlighted.
متن کاملCrosstalk Mitigation and Impedance Management Using Tabbed Lines
As the demand for low-cost electronic systems increases, increasing wiring density/reducing printed circuit board (PCB) layer count becomes inevitable. This reality limits the PCB routing layer options of high-speed input/output (I/O) signals, making it more difficult to meet the next-generation product’s performance targets. For example, using densely wired microstrip routing on a PCB helps re...
